When it rains, it pours.

So tomorrow I have an interview for a teaching job. To fill in for a teacher who is on medical leave until Christmas.

I also just got an email asking me if I could come in for an interview tomorrow afternoon for another job.

Then my phone just rang. It was a lady offering me a job. Can I start on Monday? They don't interview anymore because the people never come back. Yikes.

I would just like to know- where were they all a month ago when I was totally jobless?

What's a girl to do?

Stupid People. part 2

So I guess stupid people exist in Canada too.
Although- she might have been an American.
We will assume she is!

So there I was working my little heart out at Bath & Body Works today.
It was crazy busy.
I was working at "cash" at the back of the store.
As I was ringing in 2 older ladies (2OL) purchases, a crazy American lady (CAL) comes up to me:

CAL: ummm. Excuse me?
me: Yes?
CAL: What kind of stuff do you sell here?
me: excuse me? (I wasn't sure if what I heard was really what she said).
CAL: What kind of stuff do you sell here?
me: (totally flabergasted) ummm... candles, ah... lotions, errr...body stuff.
CAL: Okay. (and walks away)
2OL: Hi. It's called Bath and Body Works for a reason. Did she not just walk through the whole store to talk to you?
me: Crazy Americans.
2OL: Amen sister!

I Love Love

I love a good romance.

Like:

but I am SOO sick and tired of every TV show and movie being about sex.

What is so wrong about having a relationship based on friendship, mutual interests, kissing, getting to know each other and just being together?

Good night. I am going to go to bed. And read a little Anne of Ingleside until I fall asleep and have sweet dreams.

I don't want to work.

Yesterday I got to work at
5:00
in the pm.

I left work at
4:00
in the am.
I was supposed to leave at
midnight.

Apparently they were supposed to have 10 people helping for 3 hours to put out new floor sets. There were 4 of us starting at 10pm. And we weren't even half done when I left.

I think I need a nap.

Premonition.

Have you ever had the thought something was going to happen. And then it did?

That happened to me today. I was asked to meet with a member of the bishopric this morning before church. I said to my mom this morning before leaving, "Mom, I think I am going to be called to be on the Enrichment Committee."

So there I am. Chatting with Brother Woolley. And he asks me to be on the... Enrichment Committee. Weird.

Now if only I had the thought that I was going to get a teaching job. And then did.

And then thought about marrying a handsome, rich, kind, funny man. And then did.

And then thought about living on a tropical island. And then did.

Life is such a sweet insanity.

I feel like my life is dull.

I am sure you would agree.

A while ago I tried blogging everyday.

I am going to try it again.

And hopefully exciting things will happen so I don't have to blog about my deodorant and eating pizza! :)

The Good Ol' Days

Today I went back to Junior High.
THE Junior High I attended some 15-ish years ago (man. that makes me feel old).

Since I don't have a teaching job and I really miss the classroom, I contacted the Home Ec teacher at my alma mater to see if I could assist in her classroom.

Luckily it isn't the same teacher I had many moons ago. She didn't like me much.

Nor I, her.

My friends laugh at the fact that I am now a Home Ec teacher. Weird how life turns out, isn't it?
There are a few teachers that are still teaching there though- I tried my best to avoid them. I was asked if I wanted to go to the teacher's lounge.

NOPE. too scary.

Who knows who might be in there.

My old science teacher- who we called Q-tip. Because he was tall and skinny and had curly hair. That his mom permed every few months.

Or my gym teacher who tortured me by making me run worlds. Which literally felt like we were running around the world.

Being in a sewing classroom felt good. I miss the kids.

And their excitement of using a sewing machine for the first time.

And them talking while you are trying to teach.

And giving them the "teacher look" so they will stop.

Bath and Body Works has been fun. We just opened on Monday. Apparently we had the biggest opening of all BBW in the world (which is only U.S. and Canada. But still.)

And it has been a steady craziness since.

A girl came in that looked like a friend I had in Junior High. I wasn't sure if it was her. I was hoping she would pay with a credit card so I could see her name. She paid with cash.

I didn't say anything. Now I wish I did.

Gotta go to bed. I am going back to Junior High again tomorrow. Should I wear my banana clip and hyper color shirt? I never had one but boy did I want one.

Today...

I was involved in my first real accident.

Weird that my sister and I were just talking about what you should do when you get in an accident.

Even weirder that I was just thinking about how I hate driving on the road that I was driving on because there are always accidents.

The multiple car crash was mentioned on the radio. I am famous.

The car in front of me stopped suddenly. So I stopped. The lady behind me didn't. So she crashed into me. And I hit the people in front of me. And they hit the people in front of them. Luckily the 2 cars in front of me were damage free. And my back bumper is just a little scratched. But apparently the passenger from the car in front of me KNOWS that he is going to have whiplash tomorrow. But yet the driver is totally fine. Interesting.

What a day. A think I need to lay on the chesterfield (that is couch in Canadian) for a couple hours and watch So You Think You Can Dance Canada.

My last deodorant stick just ran out.

I will buy a new one.

I saw this on TV the other night.
It made me laugh.

And made me think about my blog. And how truly lame it is.

To continue to blog or not to continue? That is the question I ask myself daily.
