Canadian = hockey expert

Last night my ward went to a hockey game for FHE! The Washington Capitals were playing the Montreal Canadiens. I was WAY excited for a Canadian team to be playing. It was a lot of fun to be there... even if our seats were the 3 row from the VERY top!! I never knew that being a Canadian meant I needed to be a hockey expert. Within the first 10 minutes of the game I had 4 people ask me about rules of the game. When I told them I didn't know, their response was, "Aren't you Canadian, you are supposed to know EVERYTHING about hockey!" Sheesh! I did ask one girl if she knew everything about baseball (supposedly an American sport) and she said that she did know alot.... well that didn't work as well as I thought. But come on... who doesn't know the rules of baseball. You hit the ball and run. I don't know about penalties and the markings on the ice and all that jazz. I really should write a book of everything a Canadian needs to know before moving to the U.S... hmmmm.... I could make millions. Ha ha! (And in case you were wondering, I didn't take the picture... I wish!!) But fights really are the best part about a hockey game!

I haven't been to a hockey game in years! I wouldn't have been any help either! But sounds like fun.

Guess you better learn the hockey rules eh? Just tell them the rule is to get the puck in the other net! ha ha. (that's about all I know too).

Shelley, I love your blog! You are just so cute! I miss you...I miss the good old days! I miss hearing people ask you insecantly about Canada, and your "cultural" differences! hehe! Hey, this is random, but did I tell you they put a Hooters in Spokane? Let me know if you want a t-shirt! hehe!
